Confidentiality

 

Educator licensure candidates must maintain the confidentiality of school-related experiences pertaining to school personnel, fellow candidates, classroom students, and records. This includes all individual and school data (i.e. testing data charts, cumulative folder data, etc.). Confidentiality applies to both oral and written communications. Additionally, any recording of minors (photos, audio, video) for any reason (including clinical activities and research) must have all required parent and school partner permissions and must be specifically protected and distributed as outlined in those permissions.

 

Educator licensure candidates must follow and enforce the school district's policies for internet safety and recording of minors. Recording includes audio recordings, analog or digital photographs/video images of students.  References or images to specific classrooms and/or individual children should not be used on any social media forum. Additionally, any recording of minors (photos, audio, video) for any reason (including clinical activities and research) must have all required parent and school partner permissions and must be specifically protected and distributed as outlined in those permissions.
