Middle Grades (Grades 5 - 8)

Mathematics

 

State-of-the-art classrooms, research opportunities with leaders in the field, plus funded study abroad and outreach opportunities—this program equips candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to lead.  With a focus on diversity, technology, field work and research, this program produces candidates who are in demand.

Collaborative middle school focused placements with opportunities to work toward multiple middle grades content endorsements are core program features.

A strong social justice focus characterizes the program curriculum.

There may be an option for graduate licensure for the Middle Grades Mathematics concentration.  Please contact Grad Services at Education or the Program Coordinator, Scott Filkins, to inquire about licensure options.

The program includes a minimum of 10 weeks of full-time pre-service clinical experience, or its equivalent. The program provides supervision and support services to the teacher.
