Professional Education Preparation Programs at theUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Passing a State of Illinois approved test of basic skills is an admission requirement for all teacher education programs. Graduate level licensure programs in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, English, Latin, Mathematics, Physics, Social Science: History, and Spanish also require passage of the appropriate content-area test for admission.


Early Childhood (Birth - Grade 3 for individuals who began an Illinois program prior to fall 2015 and complete requirements by 8/31/19.) (Individuals licensed on or after September 1, 2019 will be licensed Birth Grade 2, per State Rule Changes.)
